BiteFight.ph Game Rules

DISCLAIMER:

The following rules will be valid from November 20th, 2008 for all servers listed here and may be changed at any time.

Please be aware that discussions concerning certain things are limited to the account owner and game staff. Players are obligated to save his/her battle reports for 48h (2 days), so that Game Operator can have those as evidence when deciding about the issue. Without Battle Reports, Game Operators will NOT proceed with further actions regarding rule violations.

In cases of unclear issue, Super Game Operator or Game Admin can and will be involved in it. Bitefight.ph Game Team may enter players account when justified reason exists.

Account Rules

I. Multi-Accounting

Every player is allowed to play only ONE account per Server.
Consequences: permanent ban

If 2 or more players are sharing the same IP address (brother and sister, husband and wife, Coworkers, roommates, etc.) this has to be reported to the Game Operator in charge for their Server. If not accounts will be banned without warning!

If more than one account is played from the same network the Game Operator has to be informed.

If your account gets banned, for IP sharing it is up to the GO if they want to unban you once they look into it.

Players must not attack each other while sharing the same network (when opposite race).

Players can not attack the same opponents. 24 hrs must pass inbetween the last attack of 1 player, and first attack of the 2nd player.

II. Account Sharing

Every account is entitled to be played by one player only. The player of the account may only change if either account sitting takes place or if the account is exchanged.
Consequences: permanent ban

III. Account Sitting

Account sitting allows a player to take care of someone's account in accordance with following regulations:

The GameOperator of the Server has to be informed before the sitting is taking place.

The only actions allowed in the account are: Graveyard Work, Manhunts, Grotto and spending gold FOR STATS ONLY.

The sitting is limited to a time from 2 to 7 continuous days.

Before the owner of the Account logs in, he/she or the sitter has to post in the same thread which they made about the sitting being finished.

Sitting of an account by the same person who has already sat an account on that specific server within the past 7 days is not allowed.

Sitting is allowed once in 30 days. After the sitting has been ended, 30 days MUST pass so that same account can be sat again.

Some actions not allowed by the sitter:

Attacking of other players with the sat account is not allowed.

Attacking the sat account with the own account is not allowed.

Changing the sat account's settings is not allowed.

Editing clan settings from the sat account is not allowed.

Battle Reports are not to be deleted during the sitting period.

Game Operator may enter sat account in order to verify that there were no abuse of sitting privilege.

Abuse of the Accounts Sitting privilege:

Consequences: 7 days ban for both sitter and sat account

IV. Account Exchange

Account Exchange is allowed to take place only using appropriate board section for it. You can find it in the account server's section.

V. Account Names Change

Account names can be changed for 10% of gold held, or 10 Hellstones.

During an account trading, a GO can change your user name for no charge

Important: After changing the name of the account, a bug can occur! Game Team, nor GameForge does NOT accept any responsibility if anything happens to your account.

Bashing Rules & Definition

I. Definition

You are not allowed to attack other player more then following in a 24 hour period:
[Level range - number of attacks in 24h]

Level 1 - 14 = 3 attacks
Level 15 - 40 = 4 attacks
Level 41 - 99 = 5 attacks
Level 100 + = 6 attacks

NOTE: 24 hours is meant as 24 hours and not from midnight to midnight! Defender's level is taken when Bashing Rule is being applied. Example # 1:

Attacker's level = 41
Defender's level = 39
Number of allowed attacks = 4 in 24h since the first attack

Example # 2:

Attacker's level = 39
Defender's level = 41
Number of allowed attacks = 5 in 24h since the first attack.

Bashing Rule violation consequences:

1st offense - 3 day ban
2nd offense - 7 day ban
3rd offense - 14 day ban
Every next offense - 14 day ban

II. Special Cases If the attacks influence the game play of a player to a certain extent the attacker(s) can be punished.
This is the case in the following situations:

If a player is suffering from unprovoked attacks with the purpose of keeping his health points down so he cannot attack others or do manhunt.

Any other situation in which players gameplay is severely harmed.

Consequences:

1st offense - 1-5 day ban
2nd offense - 1-7 day ban
3rd offense - 3-14 day ban
4th offense - 5-35 day ban
Every next offense - up to a 35 day ban

III. Organized Clan Attacks on a player
Constant attacks from the several members of the same clan on 1 or more players from the same clan in opposite race over 2 or more days, with the goal to make opponents unable to play the game, meaning that their health points are below 25 hp, is not allowed and will result in attacking players being warned or even banned.

Consequences:

1st offense : warning to 5 day ban
2nd offense : 5 day ban
3rd offense : 7 day ban
4th offense : 14 day ban
5th offense : 35 day ban

IV. -10levels attacks

Any attack with bigger level difference then 9 levels is allowed at max 2 times in 24h.

NOTE: 24 hours is meant as 24 hours and not from midnight to midnight! Consequences:

1st offense - 1 day ban
2nd offense - 5 day ban
3rd offense - 7 day ban
4th offense - 14 day ban
Each offense after - 14 day ban

NOTICE: Bashing may be suspended due to players involvement in:

Clan War
Official Duels reported on the board. (Bashing is suspended only on the players participating in the accepted Duel)

Any Attempt to abuse these privileges will lead to, as stated in §6 Abuse of the Rules to severe consequences. V. Clan War

The clan war rules have to be followed. Clan war rules can be found in the Clan War section of your server.

Gameplay Interference

I. Bug-Using

It is not allowed to purposely use a bug to gain advantage

It is not allowed to purposely not report a bug that was found.

Bugs MUST be reported to game staff immediately.

Consequences: permanent ban

II. Scripts

The usage of a program that interferes with the game in an unconventional way is not allowed.

This includes programs with automated or semi-automated processes that are capable of performing ingame actions.

Bots and Macros are especially not allowed.

Consequences: permanent ban

Ingame Text Rules

Definition: Ingame texts are any form of ingame messages as well as the content of Clan Descriptions and Character Descriptions.

I. Language

The official language in all BiteFight.ph services is Tagalog, English and Cebuano.

All ingame texts have to be in Tagalog, English or Cebuano, which means that all clan/character descriptions must be in Tagalog, English or Cebuano.

Any non-Tagalog, non-English and non-Cebuano descriptions may be deleted/edited by the Game Operator.

If English is not your primary language, please try to use a translator, or just leave your descriptions blank.

Consequences:

1st offense - warning
2nd offense - 3 day ban
3rd offense - 7 day ban
4th offense - 15 day ban
5th offense - permanent ban

II. Content
Ingame texts may not cause any offense to players of Bitefight by being of unacceptable quality. This is in particular the case:

When insulting another user or potential group of users.
When foul language is used.
When a racist statement is made.
When extreme political statements or terms are used.
The posting of improper pictures on alliance pages and/or links to improper websites.
Using special characters (!@#$%^&*...) for the nicknames.
Making character description bigger then normal in order to prevent opponents from seeing the "Attack Button".

It is up to the judgment of gamestaff to decide if a content is bannable.

Consequences:

1st offense - 1-3 day ban (depending on the severity)
2nd offense - 5-7 day ban
3rd offense - 10-14 day ban
4th offense - permanent ban

III. Real life Threats

Implying that you are going to harm a person such as a player, a team member, a Gameforge representative or any other person is forbidden.

Consequences: permanent ban

IV. Spam

Sending messages with the purpose of annoying other persons or spamming them is not allowed. This includes, but is not limited to:

repeated sending of empty messages
sending the same message a couple of times
sending messages that are clearly spam.
sending bitelinks

Consequences:

1st offense - 1 day ban
2nd offense - 3 day ban
3rd offense - 7 day ban
4th offense - 15 day ban
5th offense - permanent ban

V. Ingame Names

Ingame names may not cause offense and have to follow the guidelines stated in II. Content.

Proxy Rules

I. Proxies

The usage of a proxy or other method to hide the IP address in the game interface is not allowed.

If the usage of the proxy is the only way to play the game the permission of the Game Operator has to be obtained before using the proxy.

If a player is abusing the proxy to be able to cheat the rules or to gain advantage, when detected, will result in ban of all accounts on BiteFight.ph and on the board.

Consequences: permanent ban

Abuse of the Rules

Any attempt to get an unfair personal advantage from a team member's decision is not allowed.

This includes in particular allowing someone to attack you as often as he wants and then reporting him for bashing or reporting someone for bashing you are officially at war with.

Consequences: permanent ban

Impersonating or claiming to be a staff member of BiteFight.ph is forbidden.

Consequences: permanent ban

Extortion is illegal and forbidden

Consequences: permanent ban

NOTE: A member of the game staff might ban you temporarily or permanent.

This includes accounts that have or have not broken any of the above stated rules.

Also, take into account that your behavior on any of our services might end up in a permanent or temporary ban from the whole community and its services.

The Terms and Conditions are above the rules, please make sure to read them, too!

The BiteFight.ph Team reserves the right to change the game rules as needed to benefit it's users, and the community.

If you wish to report game violations to the game operators, please report at the ticket system, which can be found here:
http://support.bitefight.ph

Click on CONTACT SUPPORT. Choose GAME, and then click on the server you are reporting the violation on. Type your ingame NICKNAME, your email address, repeat typing your email address and then on the heading SUBJECT, type in what violation you are reporting (bashing, suspected multi, clan bashing, etc) or if you are reporting an account sit or account trade. Then type in the details of your game problem. You will receive a receipt of your ticket and then in a few days, you will receive a response on your ticket from the game team.
